Fisher Hill plans ribbon-cutting ceremony

ORANGE — A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for the new Fisher Hill Elementary School at 59 Dexter St. on Saturday, Nov. 18.

The ceremony is slated to last from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The school now accommodates all Orange students in preschool through sixth grade, as the newly expanded 97,000-square-foot building opened its doors for education in September. Students through third grade moved from the school’s pre-existing section to the new three-story, roughly 50,000-square-foot addition when the holiday break ended on Jan. 3, 2023, and returned to the gutted and renovated portion when summer vacation concluded.
