Village Neighbors seeks volunteers, call managers

WENDELL — The nonprofit serving people ages 60 and older in Shutesbury, Leverett, New Salem and Wendell will hold a volunteer orientation on Tuesday.

The hybrid meeting on Zoom and in person at the Wendell Senior Center will begin at 6:30 p.m. Those at the orientation will learn about the nonprofit and find out about the wide range of volunteer activities to choose from.

Email volunteers@villageneighbors.org or leave a phone message with a contact number at 413-345-6894, ext. 3, to receive a Zoom link and additional information.

Village Neighbors is also in need of call managers, who work from home to answer requests from members, connect members with volunteers waiting to assist, assess needs and services, train and oversee other call managers, handle vendor services, and work with the membership/volunteer committee to triage concerns for members and volunteers. Anyone who is interested in being a call manager can email servicerequests@villageneighbors.org.
