WARWICK — The Pioneer Valley Regional School District School Committee will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Pioneer Valley Regional School library to discuss, and potentially vote on, a proposed conversion of Warwick Community School to a Horace Mann II Conversion School.

Conversation regarding the conversion has been ongoing since July. An application for the school must be submitted to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for feedback by Nov. 1.

WWII memoir discussion coming to Northfield

NORTHFIELD — Rebecca Daniels, the daughter of a World War II support soldier who told his story through a book based on the letters he wrote home to his wife, Daniels’ mother, will speak at Dickinson Memorial Library next week.

Daniels will read excerpts, answer questions and have copies of her book — titled “Keeping the Lights on for Ike: Daily Life of a Utilities Engineer at AFHQ in Europe During WWII; or, What to Say in Letters Home When You’re Not Allowed to Write about the War” — available for sale. The event, on Oct. 29, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
