Meeting on sixth-grade move rescheduled

NORTHFIELD — A virtual meeting to discuss initial planning and information regarding the move of sixth-grade classes from district elementary schools to Pioneer Valley Regional School for the 2022 to 2023 academic year has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 24, at 5 p.m.

Due to expected changes in laws governing public meetings, which would have required an in-person meeting, an initial date of Friday, June 18, for a remote meeting was delayed. With the state’s extension of the law allowing remote participation, Pioneer Principal Kevin Burke said planners will move forward with a virtual meeting.

A posting, with a link for meeting access, will be made available on the district website at pvrsdk12.org.
