Powers Institute Museum open Sunday

BERNARDSTON — The Powers Institute Museum at 20 Church St. will be open on Sunday, July 9, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Attendants will be on hand to assist guests. There is ample parking behind the building off Library Street. An elevator is available to access the second floor, as well as stairs. Admission is free.

Farmers market open weekly through Oct. 7

BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Farmers Market, which opened for the season on May 26, will be held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Oct. 7 in the United Church of Bernardston parking lot, 58 Church St.

Local farms and businesses sell flowers, eggs, vegetables, jams, jellies, sauerkraut, soap, muffins and chicken pies, according to the market’s Facebook page. Vendors include Coyote Hill Farm, Sweet Morning Farm, CAT’s Croft, Earth Craft Botanicals, Thistle Hill Soaps, Sweet Lucy’s Bakeshop and the Bernardston Kiwanis Club. The market is organized by the Bernardston Agricultural Commission.
