Powers Institute Museum opening for season

BERNARDSTON — The Powers Institute Museum at 20 Church St. is opening for the season on Sunday, April 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendants will be present to assist guests.

Parking is available behind the building and there is elevator access to the second floor.

My Art Company presents classes

BERNARDSTON — My Art Company presents two classes at the Bernardston Senior Center on Tuesdays, April 23 and 30, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Attendees can learn and practice basic watercolor techniques like wet on wet, half wet, damp and dry brush, mixing colors, creating values, composition, and using brushes and other tools.

Participants can sign up for one class, limited to 10 participants each. Artists can bring their own paints and brushes, though most supplies will be available. A $5 fee is requested to offset cost of the program.

Hadley Walmart next for Travel Club

The Travel Club offered by the Bernardston and Northfield senior centers will head to the Hadley Walmart and for lunch on Friday, April 26, at 9 a.m.

Sign-ups are limited to six people from each town. There will be a waitlist in case one town has spaces open up. The cost for the van is $6 roundtrip. Participants will meet at the Bernardston Senior Center. Alternatively, pickup at home is available. Call Shannon at 413-768-1824 to sign up by April 23.
