Senior Center preps for tag sale

BERNARDSTON — The Bernardston Senior Center is collecting items for its tag sale at Scarecrow in the Park, as well as craft items for the center’s gift shop and raffle prize donations, according to the center’s September newsletter.

The tag sale, gift shop and raffle at Scarecrow in the Park, to be held Oct. 21 and 22, are the Senior Center’s biggest fundraisers of the year, with all proceeds supporting center activities and supplies, the newsletter states.

The center will accept household items, pots, pans, dishes, knick-knacks, CDs, DVDs, linens, decorations and more. All items must be clean and in good condition, the newsletter states. Clothing, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, TVs, stereos, encyclopedias, textbooks, albums, VHS tapes, cassettes or halogen lamps will not be accepted.

To set up a time to drop items off at the Senior Center or to ask questions about acceptable items, call 413-648-5413 and ask for Sandy.
