The Friends are looking for donations of small items in like-new condition such as jewelry, knick-knacks, toys and games, as well as gift bags, tags and tissue paper, according to a post on the Nextdoor social networking site.

Children in kindergarten through sixth grade will come to the library on Dec. 9 to shop, with all items being sold for 50 cents, the post reads.

High schoolers help the children shop, and volunteers wrap hundreds of gifts.
