Visit with Santa at bank on Saturday

TURNERS FALLS — Santa will visit Greenfield Savings Bank at 282 Avenue A on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. Children can bring their holiday wish lists to give to Santa, have their photos taken with him by their parents or guardians with cellphones, and receive candy canes.

ERVING — Photography by Phyllis Stone is on display throughout December in the Erving Public Library’s Community Room. A reception will be held on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Forest health lecture series continues Dec. 21

ERVING — The Erving Public Library will host the third talk in a lecture series on forest health on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 5:30 p.m. This month’s talk features Nicole Keleher from the state Department of Conservation and Recreation who will speak about the results of recent aerial surveys and causes of local deforestation.
