Montague, Sept. 25

9:23 a.m. — A G Street caller would like it on record that her granddaughter’s bicycle was stolen off the back porch. Described as an older lime green and black Trek mountain bike.

4:25 p.m. — Caller states a young male at the skatepark showed a knife to his young granddaughter and said he was going to use it. Area checked. No one matching description found. Caller states it happened about 30 minutes ago.

Montague, Sept. 26

3:20 p.m. — Report of a car into a utility pole on East Mineral Road. Caller states driver is out of the vehicle, with steam coming from the front. Turners Falls Fire Department and AMR advised. Officer Justin Moody requests Eversource, and Rau’s for a tow. Officer James Ruddock reports Rau’s has the vehicle, Eversource will replace the pole at a later date.

Montague, Sept. 27

5:11 p.m. — Greenfield Police advising of a fuel spill starting at Poet’s Seat and ending at the Fifth Street Bridge.

Montague, Sept. 28

2:55 p.m. — Caller reporting he purchased $400 in Google Play cards and has since learned it was part of a scam. Caller working with credit card company to remove charges.

Montague, Sept. 30

8:19 p.m. — A Turners Falls Road caller states his sister was driving and hit a propane grill that was laying in the road. Front-end damage done to the car. Grill moved out of the road. Message left for DPW to pick up tomorrow.

Montague, Oct. 1

6:52 p.m. — A K Street caller states three large pumpkins and six small pumpkins were taken from her porch in the past two hours. Officers advised.

7:24 p.m. — A First Street caller states some people are lighting Chinese sky lanterns near the river and they are a fire hazard. Turners Falls Fire Department is responding. Contact made with the parties responsible. They were advised they are not legal.

Montague, Oct. 2

10:11 a.m. — Caller at the intersection of Third Street and Avenue A reporting her car was hit by a public transport bus. No injuries.

11:41 a.m. — DPW supervisor would like an officer to look at some items found while cleaning sewer. No items of concern.

4:50 p.m. — A Whitney Way caller requesting to speak with an officer about a large bone he found in his driveway. Officers advised.

Montague, Oct. 3

3:01 a.m. — A Turners Falls Road caller reports a car just hit her house; unknown injuries. Caller states the driver got out of the vehicle. Officer Cody Wells advises pole is snapped, wires down across the road. Wells requesting Eversource, and police K-9 for a track. Kyle Lee Conlin-Stolberg, 22, of Beech Street, was arrested for OUI-liquor over .08 percent (second offense), leaving the scene of property damage and a marked lanes violation. Rau’s contacted for a tow.

10:32 a.m. — Report of a large pile of brush on fire on Hillside Road. Fire Department remaining on scene.

1:48 p.m. — A K Street caller would like it on record that the neighbor next door was watching pornography very loudly and her children could hear it. Caller advised to call if it happens again.

Montague, Oct. 6

12:50 p.m. — An Avenue A caller reporting ongoing threats/harassment from his brother, who lives in the same apartment building. Parties were feuding over someone being called a name while playing Xbox. Spoke with brothers; peace restored. Advised of options.

Montague, Oct. 8

6:20 p.m. — A Turnpike Road caller would like it on record that when she returned home from a walk she realized her dinner that was cooking in the oven had been tampered with while she was gone. Caller states she left the door unlocked when she left. No police response requested. Sgt. James Deery advised. Caller called back to say she realized what happened to the food; confirmed nobody entered her residence.
