Montague Police Logs: May 13 to May 16, 2021

Montague, May 13

4:16 a.m. — Dispatcher received a call with a radio playing, then a man asking about college. Two more calls of the same.

Montague, May 15

8:47 a.m. — Caller complains of a loud noise coming from an orange machine on the General Pierce Bridge. Caller was highly agitated and at one point during the call talked about damaging the machine to make the noise stop and to inconvenience them the way they are inconveniencing him. Caller was referred to MassDOT; phone number provided. Caller was also advised against tampering with or damaging the machinery in any way. Detective Justin Moody and Officer Joshua Dobosz advised.

8:59 a.m. — Caller complains about the new stop signs at the intersection of Canal Road and Canal Street. Believes drivers may not know that the intersection has changed. Officer Joshua Dobosz advised that signs were put up by MassDOT. Caller was referred to MassDOT; phone number provided. Caller called back, advising she contacted MassDOT, and that she also videotaped multiple vehicles failing to stop at the stop signs and would like to forward the video to an officer. Caller advised when there are other vehicles there, the vehicles tend to stop but when there aren’t other vehicles there, the vehicles aren’t tending to stop. Dobosz advised.

Montague, May 16

5:50 a.m. — Caller repeatedly saying and spelling the word “coward.” Multiple calls.

8:03 a.m. — Caller making vague statements about a former employee. Multiple calls.

9:06 a.m. — A Newton Street caller reported finding a kitchen knife outside on her windows this morning; advised it was not there yesterday. Officer Michael Sevene went to residence and spoke with caller. Observed the area, appears someone was walking through and may have dropped the knife, small paring-type knife. Sevene will be disposing of the knife at the caller’s request.
