Montague Police Logs: March 8 to March 14, 2023

Wednesday, March 8

8:32 a.m. — Caller on Oakman Street states she received a call from someone who claimed to be her daughter and stated she was in an accident. Caller contacted her daughter after the call and found she wasn’t in an accident. Caller was advised to block the number.

11:40 a.m. — Caller on Seventh Street states she keeps getting a call from Amazon saying she owes more than $1,000. Caller said she doesn’t have an Amazon account and has not provided any information.

3:47 p.m. — Caller on Fourth Street reports a black Chevrolet Suburban with Connecticut license plates and a busted-out rear window is always parked blocking the sidewalk, forcing people to walk in the road. Caller also said there is a section of the sidewalk that never gets cleared after a snowstorm, which is creating a hazard for the elderly.

Thursday, March 9

7:02 p.m. — Multiple calls from Power Town Apartments on Avenue A report a disturbance. One male party states he was outside the apartment when he was attacked physically and verbally by a female party. Individual stated he was having an asthma attack but denied medical attention. Another male party said the involved female knocked on his door requesting he call 911; states the involved male purposefully hit his head to make it look like she had struck him. Situation mediated, parties separated for the night.

Monday, March 13

5:09 p.m. — Caller in the Food City parking lot on Avenue A reports having a note on her car that states someone had witnessed her car get hit and the other vehicle left. Caller said there is damage to her car and would like it reported.

Tuesday, March 14

3:42 p.m. — Caller on Turners Falls Road states he was working in New Hampshire and received threatening messages from an unknown number saying a man was going to kill him and his family. Caller said the messages show his address, family information including his wife’s maiden name, and pictures of people that have been killed and of men with guns. Caller said his wife was unharmed at home with their children but he requested an officer call her and check in since he was far away.

5:45 p.m. — Caller on X Street reports a male was harassing her and disregarding the no-trespass order she has on him. Individual left flowers at her door and said she received roughly 13 calls since 4 p.m., along with text messages. Erving Police found the individual and advised him not to return to the caller’s address.
