Monday, Dec. 2

6:48 p.m. — Report of a party dressed in all black walking in the road near the Scottys convenience store at 66 Unity St. Almost got hit by a couple of vehicles. Officer checked the area but didn’t find anyone matching the description.

Tuesday, Dec. 3

12:09 p.m. — A representative from the Our Lady of Czestochowa church on K Street reports there is someone living in a white tent in the woods on church property. Tent located, appears to be abandoned. Advised of options.

10:08 p.m. — Security alarm sounding at the Colle Opera House on Avenue A. No sign of entry, all doors locked and secured. Alarm sounded again the next morning at 6:06 a.m. and repeatedly in the following days. Building remains secure.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

9:11 a.m. — Graffiti reported at the town pumphouse building on Main Street. Report taken.

6:03 p.m. — Reporting party from East Main Street looking to speak with an officer regarding stolen packages. Officer advised them of their options.

Thursday, Dec. 5

1:37 a.m. — Caller on Sunderland Road reports she is stuck in the roadway in her Volkswagen due to weather conditions. Caller advises she also saw a black car strike a guardrail. Vehicle has front-end damage and is leaving the scene after putting debris from the crash into their car. Volkswagen was able to get unstuck, along with another vehicle that was having trouble.

11:43 p.m. — Report of a vehicle that struck a guardrail near Windy Hollow Veterinary Clinic on Sunderland Road. Vehicle towed. Report taken.

1:22 p.m. — Caller states her friend’s two dogs are trying to attack/kill each other on Depot Street. Officer advising the dogs are separated and secured, but one of them is injured.

4:59 p.m. — Security alarm sounding at the S.O. Conte Research Laboratory on Migratory Way. Officer advises there is a door open. Keyholder on scene, will do a walk-through with officers.

6:22 p.m. — Reporting party from Fifth Street states her oven is on fire. Son left a toy in the oven and she wasn’t aware. Fire was extinguished.

Friday, Dec. 6

1:29 a.m. — Massachusetts State Police advising they towed a vehicle belonging to a Turners Falls resident. Open containers of Fireball nips and a High Noon were found inside. Vehicle was towed by Koch’s Automotive in Greenfield. State Police requesting contact information for the vehicle owner. Owner later called Montague Police after receiving a call from State Police about his vehicle, which has damage to its tires and front end. Owner advised he left his keys inside his vehicle and states it was stolen sometime between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Caller has a camera in front of his house that showed individuals entering the vehicle and leaving. Officer reviewed the video, which showed three suspects. Report taken.

8:10 p.m. — Report of a loud motor running in the area of Stevens and Burnett streets. Officer reports an aerial lift in the backyard. They will be done with work soon.

Saturday, Dec. 7

12:10 a.m. — Caller on Park Street states their vehicle was broken into and rummaged through sometime within the past six hours. Nothing appears to be missing. Report taken.

9:55 a.m. — Two activations of a security alarm at the Franklin County Regional Housing & Redevelopment Authority on Millers Falls Road. Cleaning crew is on scene with the security code.

Sunday, Dec. 8

6:33 a.m. — Reporting party from 11th Street wants to speak with an officer about someone who has parked in front of her garage. Note left on vehicle telling owner not to park there next time.

Monday, Dec. 9

12:23 p.m. — Caller on Laurel Lane is concerned about a blue pickup truck driving around. Its driver appears to be taking down license plate numbers. Vehicle is from Recovery Zone and the driver is looking for a debtor.

2:21 p.m. — A traffic stop near Town Hall on Avenue A resulted in the arrest of Emily K. Shaw, 37, of Set Back Lane in Gill, on charges of a number plate violation, attaching faulty plates to a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and receiving stolen property — $1,200.

8:42 p.m. — Reporting party from the Ja’Duke Center for the Performing Arts on Industrial Boulevard states there is a yellow box truck in the parking lot that shouldn’t be there. Would like an officer to check it out. Truck driver was waiting to make a delivery down the street and was advised to wait in that parking lot.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

9:17 a.m. — Reporting party from Fifth Street would like it on record that her car was left unlocked and someone went through it overnight. Her checkbook was taken. She is calling the bank to inform them of the incident. Greenfield Police called to say they recovered a stolen vehicle overnight and the driver had been involved in vehicle break-ins. They located the item that went missing from the caller’s vehicle.

1:47 p.m. — Reporting party from Central Street wants it on record that someone went through her vehicle last night and stole a phone charger. Services rendered.

3:19 p.m. — Reporting party from Turners Falls Road would like it on record that someone went through her vehicle last night and took a pair of white earbuds. Services rendered.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

7:25 a.m. — Caller reporting she believes her son, who lives with her on Walnut Street, stole her car. Reporting party states he left in the car without her permission about 30 minutes ago. Reporting party called back to say her son came back.

9:41 a.m. — A representative from the Turners Falls Fire District reports fraud amounting to several thousand dollars. Report taken.

11:43 a.m. — Property manager of Power Town Apartments on Avenue A reports a male party who has a no-trespassing order against him keeps showing up at night and pushing residents’ buzzers until someone lets him in, then has been sleeping in the laundry room. Advised of options.

Thursday, Dec. 12

1:34 p.m. — Reporting party states he was letting his friend borrow his truck and someone just backed into it in front of Pipione’s Sport Shop on Avenue A. Both are on scene. Report taken.

9:54 p.m. — Reporting party states there is a guy who has been hiding inside some bushes behind Food City, using some sort of red light, for 30 minutes of so. He left for a little bit but then came back. Male party moved along without incident.

Friday, Dec. 13

8:23 a.m. — Caller reports a woman is walking in the middle of Turnpike Road in a bright pink coat. Officer advising he just went by and the woman was safely on the side of the road.

Saturday, Dec. 14

7:07 p.m. — Reporting party from Second Street states a raccoon crashed through his bathroom ceiling. Tenant was able to shut the door and now has the raccoon trapped in the bathroom. Unknown damage to the building. Officer advised. Attempting to reach the animal control officer. Animal vacated the premises on its own.

11:09 p.m. — Reporting party from K Street states her landlord changed her locks and she cannot get back into her apartment. She advised her husband is trying to gain entry and she just gained entry through a window, but she has her 3-year-old son and cannot get the door to open to get him inside the apartment. Officer advised none of the locks were changed, locks were sticking but are working fine now. Services rendered.

Sunday, Dec. 15

6:46 a.m. — Multiple calls reporting the railroad lights are flashing in the area of Prondecki’s Pizza in Erving. Shelburne Control Dispatch Center is aware of the issue.
