Montague Police Logs: Aug. 4 to Aug. 5, 2022

Thursday, Aug. 4

9:29 a.m. — Officer checking on a disturbance at the Black Cow Burger Bar on Avenue A. Involved parties did not want to provide any information.

5:09 a.m. — Caller at Keith Apartments on Canal Street reports a neighbor yelling and screaming. Party declined medical or other services, agreed to keep it down.

8:55 p.m. — Caller states the truck in front of him has crossed the center line on Third Street multiple times. Caller states the driver does have a cellphone in hand, may be lost. Vehicle headed into Greenfield, info relayed to Greenfield Police.

Friday, Aug. 5

3:11 p.m. — Caller on Griswold Street states a man in a gray Toyota Tacoma was yelling at him and tried running him over. Involved man came to the station to report the argument with the caller.

6:52 p.m. — Caller on Bridge Street reports ongoing harassment with some kids and that there is a group of them gathered in and around the apartment building. He stated it appeared one of them had a long kitchen knife. Gone on arrival.

7:51 p.m. — Caller on Bridge Street reports there are six or seven juveniles on his front step and he feels threatened. Caller had a machete in his hand upon officer arrival. Officer advised he could not have that out. While there were no juveniles upon officer arrival, two showed up and started harassing the caller. Dispute was broken up by the officer and one of the juvenile’s mothers. Caller was advised of his harassment prevention order.
