Last call to register to vote

GILL — June 11 is the last day to register to vote in the June 22 town election. The Town Clerk’s Office will be open for voter registration on June 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and again from 7 to 8 p.m.

There are no contests on the ballot this year. Most notably, Selectboard member Greg Snedeker is running for his third term, having been on the Selectboard since 2014.

Two seats for Montague representatives on the Gill-Montague Regional School District School Committee are open, but with no candidates. Bill Tomb, the one Gill representative whose term is up, is running for re-election.

Polls will be open on June 22 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Gill Fire Station. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Town Clerk Doreen Stevens is encouraging voters to use absentee ballots instead of voting in person. For an absentee ballot, contact Stevens at townclerk@gillmass.org or 413-863-8103.
