RiverCulture plans two events this weekend

TURNERS FALLS — RiverCulture is holding two free events this weekend at Peskeomskut Park, at the corner of Avenue A and Seventh Street.

On Friday at 7:30 p.m., there will be a screening of the new Disney film, “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Musician Daniel Hales opens at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

On Sunday at 2 p.m., Human Error Publishing will present “The Mole,” a series of true, five-minute stories told by Alice Barrett, Dina Stander, Josh Michael Stewart and Doug Anderson. “The Mole” will be followed by “Do It Now,” a fusion of spoken word and music by Paul Richmond, Tony Vacca (percussion) and John Sheldon (guitar).

‘Ruby’s Birds’ story walk up through June 23

TURNERS FALLS — The Great Falls Discovery Center’s current story walk, on display on the lawn through June 23, features the children’s book “Ruby’s Birds” by Mya Thompson.

Visitors are asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
