BUCKLAND — On Monday, Melissa Ann Dunnet will begin her new job as school business administrator for the Mohawk Trail and Hawlemont regional school districts.

Dunnet of Templeton comes from Chicopee Public Schools, where she has been assistant director of budget and finance since last July.

“I’m really excited and looking forward to working with all the towns,” Dunnet said, when reached for comment. “I see myself as someone who can help implement the existing visions of the (Mohawk School Committee) as well as bring my past experience and expertise in other various and varied districts with me to the benefit of the position,” she said, in her letter of interest to the school board.

Besides working in Chicopee, Dunnet has been a financial analyst for the TJX Corporation in Framingham, a school accountant for Framingham Public Schools, and a school business manager for both SAU 23 (School Administrative Unit 23) in North Haverhill, N.H., and Winchendon Public Schools in Massachusetts.

Dunnet is a state licensed school business official and she is awaiting state certification as a superintendent/assistant superintendent, pending review.

She replaces Stephen Nembirkow, who left the position at Mohawk after one year to become business manager of Greenfield Public Schools.
