Peter and Cecilia (Rushton) Tusinski of Leyden were married in the gardens of Hambrook House, Bristol, England on May 21, 1971.

They met in London in 1969, when Peter was visiting from Morocco, during his Peace Corps service, looking for 'The Lady in Green' of his dreams. He found her (and she him) in the Notting Hill Gate Post Office on Kensington Church Street just before Christmas: it was love at first sight.

After a short separation when Peter returned to Morocco to complete his Peace Corps Service, a letter hand delivered by the mailman as Peter headed for the Seychelles persuaded him to change his mind, and return to the U.K.

After traveling together through Europe and North Africa under canvas the following year, they returned to the West Country in England, leaving in 1972 for the U.S. and Massachusetts.

Whilst living on the 'Patch' in Turners Falls, their first child, Fana, was born, and they found their beautiful homestead land in Leyden, where they have lived ever since. Their second son, Amos, was born in 1979, followed shortly after by the surprise package of twins, Gabriel and Olivia.

Their children congratulate them on this, their 50th wedding anniversary, and wish them peace and love for all the years to come.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Peter and Cecilia plan on a quiet celebration with a few close friends on the 21st; a bigger anniversary celebration party hosted by their children will take place in late summer or early fall.
