ORANGE — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be conducting milling and resurfacing work on a section of Daniel Shays Highway (Route 202) from the New Salem town line to the Athol town line in Orange.

The work is scheduled to begin at the New Salem town line on Tuesday, Sept. 5, and will continue through early October.

MassDOT advises that drivers may encounter delays while alternating one-way traffic is allowed through the work zone.

All work is weather dependent and may change without notice. Signs and traffic control measures will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. Those traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.
