In response to the article “New owners look to build on golf course’s strengths” [Recorder, April 19], I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Snow family on their acquisition of the Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club. I am familiar with the family and know that the Country Cub will be in good hands. The improvements that they are planning on bringing to the property can only enhance the golfing experience there.

They also own the Northfield Golf Club and according to the article, “The Snows plan to curate a ‘synergy’ between the two golf courses by having both properties use the same computer and POS (point of sale) systems, and making some of the more expensive equipment available at both courses. Staff will also be trained under the same standards at each golf course to allow for more fluidity.” This can only be good for both golf courses.

It is nice to know that a local family has purchased the Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club. This is a win-win situation for all local golfers.
