Julia Duncan: Looking forward to Trump at the helm

In her Nov. 23 column “No hibernation allowed,” Judy Wagner claims that the presidential election was “oh so close.” Oh, but it wasn’t. Donald Trump won in an Electoral College landslide. He swept all seven swing states and even won the popular vote, which surprised me. The left can downplay his epic victory all they want, but there’s no getting around the fact that Kamala Harris got trounced.
And how about all the young people who voted for Trump? Turns out inflation, crime, and border security matter more than abortion. Who knew? I also wonder how many Americans who went to the polls remembered what Democrats put them through during the manufactured COVID crisis that seemed to go on forever.
Let me be clear: our country has been in dire straits ever since Joe Biden took office. We’ve suffered enough, and I look forward to Trump once again being at the helm. On Jan. 20, I will party hearty with my Republican friends and family members as we finally turn the page on Biden-Harris.
