Jon Huer’s Jan. 13 column is titled “Where hate burns in America.” It burns practically every day on this liberal editorial page, but of course, Huer is referring to Donald Trump and the Republican Party. That’s all this writer does is tear into Trump and his white supporters. The professor’s latest tirade is truly shameful.

Huer also complains that the Frank Capra classic, “It’s A Wonderful Life,” is an “all-white movie” about “white people who live in an all-white community.” Is that supposed to disturb me? Perhaps this angry writer has never heard of “The Color Purple” or “Waiting to Exhale.” Is the professor aware of BET (Black Entertainment Television)?

February is Black History Month, but “It’s a Wonderful Life” is bad, bad, bad.
