A recent letter writer claimed the Republicans are “out of touch.” [”State Republicans out of touch,” Recorder, Dec. 17]. Huh? Has the writer looked at the state of our country over the last three years under Democrat control? Has anything improved for the average person? Is the price of gas or milk better now for the average person? Has inflation improved or gotten worse under the Democrats? Has crime in our major Democrat-run cities gotten worse or better? How about homelessness and drug addiction, gotten better or worse? How’s the southern border looking? Is the writer aware we’re now involved in two wars under the Democrats? Someone is certainly “out of touch” but it isn’t the Republicans.
