I will always have admiration for the United Auto Workers. They have always been committed and strong supporters of civil rights.
This is just one example: In 1965, UAW members accompanied Martin Luther King Jr. on his march from Selma to Montgomery, crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge. In an earlier example, in 1963, the UAW provided funds to pay MLK’s bail when he was in the Birmingham jail.
The United Auto Workers have done much for others and I believe they deserve our support now.
