The photograph of the bald eagle on page B-1 on Jan. 18 of The Recorder to me is very significant.

Here is our national bird with his head down. I have never seen our bald eagle with his head in this position. His head is always straight and uplifted.

But the timing and significance of this photo is significant.

We have our national bird head down, being sad and ashamed at what happened Jan. 6. But in his eyes we still see our national bird still proud to be the national bird of the United States of America.

This photo should be on the front page of every reputable newspaper in the United States. It should have a caption underneath not necessarily what I have written, but a newspaper reporter who could put this caption in more strong and forceful words.
