BERNARDSTON — Authorities say a juvenile driver involved in a recent Turners Falls Road traffic stop was arrested on several charges, including marijuana possession with intent to distribute and unauthorized firearms possession.

According to a post on the Bernardston Police Department’s Facebook page, a Bernardston officer initially stopped the driver for speeding. The vehicle was doing 75 mph in a posted 35 mph zone.

Though the post did not include the juvenile’s name, or the date and time of the traffic stop, it states the individual is being charged with speeding, a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a vehicle, possession of a firearm without a firearms identification card or license to carry, possession of ammunition without said card or license, carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

The Bernardston officer was assisted by a Massachusetts State Police trooper and an officer with the Northfield Police Department, according to the post. The charged individual was transported to Greenfield Juvenile Court for arraignment.
