The Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center comedy show to be headlined by Julia Scotti has had another setback, as the New Jersey comic has again been forced to postpone the event, this time due to a medical emergency.

Scotti, who is in her mid-60s, had been scheduled for a Greenfield gig on Jan. 12, but Hawks & Reed recently announced the postponement, with a new date of Feb. 9. The show was originally slated for Nov. 16, but was rescheduled due to early reports of an impending snowstorm. All tickets sold will be honored at the Feb. 9 show.

Cathy Caldwell, Scotti’s manager from 2011 to 2016, took to Scotti’s Facebook page on Dec. 21 to announce her friend was in emergency surgery for a quadruple bypass and mitral valve replacement. On Dec. 24, Caldwell posted on Facebook that Scotti was eating solid food and getting ready to walk for the first time since the surgery.

Scotti was a contestant on the 11th season of “America’s Got Talent” in 2016.

The rescheduled show is expected to still be emceed by Hadley native Tony Sykowski, who is now a comedian based in Brooklyn, N.Y., and still also feature comedian Anita Wise.
