Indoor track: Third PVIAC meet took place on Sunday

The third PVIAC indoor track meet of the season took place on Sunday at Smith College.
Here are the top performers from each local school:
The Bear girls fell to Mohawk Trail (59-9), Pioneer (62-7) and Commerce (25-12). The Athol boys beat Commerce (35-20) but lost to Mohawk Trail (68-20) and tied Pioneer (32-32).
Karleigh Chase placed fifth in the girls shot put (26 feet, seven inches) while Gabriella Theiot took 18th in the girls shot put (20-5).
On the boys side Raydin Sousa took 16th in the 55 (7.39 seconds) and 18th in the 300 (42.84). Blaise Rodas took 14th in the high jump (5-0).
The Frontier girls beat Pope Francis (72-22) and Southwick (67-27) while falling to South Hadley (57-38). The Redhawk boys earned wins over Pope Francis (81-14), South Hadley (69-25) and Southwick (77-17).
On the girls side Madelyn Antes took ninth in the 300 (48.27), Nicole Plasse took seventh in the 600 (1:57.75) and ninth in the long jump (13-10.5), Addison Morey placed third in the 1,000 (3:34.96) and fourth in the mile (6:11.25), Leah Gump took second in the mile (6:08.16) and 2 mile (12:46.51), Liv Christensen placed 10th in the 2 mile (14:13.37), Lilly Novak placed fifth in the shot put (27-6.5), Hannah Davis took third in the 55 hurdles (9.79) and Maia Christensen came in seventh in the high jump (4-4).
On the boys side Ben Cachiguango took third in the 55 (6.86), second in the 55 hurdles (8.55) and fifth in the 300 (39.21), Jack Storm took ninth in the 55 (7.13) and sixth in the long jump (17-8.75), Aidan Valderrama took fourth in the 600 (1:33.53) and fourth in the high jump (5-6), Amory Maxey took third in the 1,000 (2:54.68) and 10th in the 2 mile (11:40.75), Charles Dennis placed fifth in the 1,000 (3:04.84) and fifth in the mile (5:09.47), Ben Caron placed seventh in the 55 hurdles (9.38) and Oliver Brown took ninth in the high jump (5-4).

The Greenfield girls beat Baystate (52-15) but fell to Mohawk Trail (54-28) and Pioneer (60-22). The Green Wave boys beat Baystate (67-22) and Pioneer (56-33) but lost to Mohawk Trail (51-43).
On the girls side Suhani Patel placed second in the girls high (4-10) while Julia Belville took sixth (4-2). Emilia Gray came in 17th in the long jump (12-4.75).
Mason Youmell came in ninth in the 600 (1:38.77) and ninth in the 55 hurdles (9.16), Jackson Caron took fourth in the mile (4:57.79) and Jerry Ven came in seventh in the shot put (35-3.5).
The Mahar girls lost to Pope Francis (41-23) while the Senator boys beat Pope Francis (57-26).
On the girls side Stellina Moore placed sixth in the 55 hurdles (10.25) and 10th in the long jump (13-7.5). Madilyn Moore placed sixth in the shot put (27-4).
On the boys side Mathieu Soucy came in fourth in the 55 (6.89) and fourth in the 300 (39.19), Mitchell Krasco won the 55 hurdles (8.40) and came in third in the 300 (38.97), David Phelps took ninth in the 55 hurdles (9.84) and Jayden Dicato placed fourth in the shot put (35-7.5).
The Mohawk Trail girls beat Athol (59-9) and Greenfield (54-28) while falling to Pioneer (50-32). The Warrior boys beat Athol (68-20), Greenfield (51-43) and Pioneer (58-25).
On the girls side, Virginia Krezmien came in third in the 1,000 (3:29.45) and won the mile (5:47.48), Avery Johnston took sixth in the shot put (25-8), Sophia Goodnow took seventh in the shot put (24-6) and Cammie Thompson placed 12th in the shot put (23-7.75).
On the boys side, Peter Healy came in sixth in the 2 mile (11:03.6), Chay Mojallali won the high jump (5-10), took fifth in the 55 hurdles (8.95) and placed ninth in the shot put (33-7).
The Pioneer girls earned wins over Athol (62-7), Greenfield (60-22) and Mohawk Trail (50-32) while falling to Hampshire (65-29). The Panther boys tied Athol (32-32) but fell to Greenfield (56-33), Hampshire (65-16) and Mohawk Trail (58-25).
On the girls side, Louise Flagollet won the high jump (5-2), took eighth in the 55 (8.14) and eighth in the 300 (48.39), Sahana Heilman placed ninth in the mile (6:40.07), eighth in the long jump (13-10) and fifth in the 55 hurdles (10.59) while Emmanuelle Flagollet took seventh in the 55 hurdles (10.66).
On the boys side, Griffin de Ruiter placed 10th in the 300 (40.47) while Carter Berthiaume came in 19th in the 300 (43.88).
