Hadley Police looking for missing Montague man

HADLEY — The Hadley Police Department is trying to locate a missing Montague man who was last seen at a Route 9 hotel early Tuesday morning.

Henry “Hank” Appleton, 72, is described as a white man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighting 190 pounds. Appleton is bald, with hazel eyes and a white beard. He was wearing a navy blue shirt with white flower outlines, dark shorts and hiking footwear when he disappeared.

At around 2 a.m., Appleton tried to get a cab ride from the Courtyard by Marriott at 423 Russell St., to Northampton, but instead left on foot.

Appleton doesn’t have a cellphone or access to a vehicle, according to police.
