Greenfield, Oct. 23

10:44 a.m. — Larceny reported on Bernardston Road.

Montague, Oct. 23

2:20 p.m. — A Montague Avenue caller reports there are three trees around the corner from the Post Office that look unstable since the last storm and children have been playing near them. Caller is not sure who owns that land. Advised caller to leave message for DPW. Phone number provided. Caller would like an officer advised as well. Officer Daniel Miner advised.

8:57 p.m. — A Fourth Street caller states there is a dog-sized raccoon on her porch and its babies are under the shed. Officer James Ruddock advises caller to allow the raccoons to get off the porch and leave them alone for the night. Animal control officer off duty. Caller called a second time, stating the raccoons are hissing at them. Caller advised there is no ACO on duty, will pass along to day shift.

Greenfield, Oct. 24

12:53 p.m. — Larceny reported at the Winslow Building on Wells Street.

1:35 p.m. — Larceny reported on Conway Street.

6:15 p.m. — Accident on Montague City Road.

Montague, Oct. 24

7:45 p.m. — A Federal Street caller reports she is receiving phone calls where the person is making threats to harm her and her dog. She also received a text from an ex-boyfriend who stated it was a friend of his who made the threats and that it was supposed to be a joke. Officer Justin Moody spoke to the caller. She believes it was a prank from the friend. No longer concerned.

Greenfield, Oct. 25

2:07 a.m. — Matthew Owen Bailey, 26, of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant arrest as well as a marked lanes violation and a count of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

6:42 p.m. — Vandalism reported on Riverside Drive.

Montague, Oct. 25

12:46 a.m. — A Bridge Street caller states she would like it on record that a package that was delivered this morning was taken from the porch.

9:45 p.m. — Edward M. Cialek III, 47, of Sunderland, was arrested for assault and battery on a family/household member.

Greenfield, Oct. 26

11:01 a.m. — Breaking-and-entering reported at Greenfield Self Storage Center on Woodard Road.

Greenfield, Oct. 27

1:29 p.m. — Hypodermic needle found on Main Street, near Mohawk Mall.

2:45 p.m. — Accident reported on Elm Street.

Montague, Oct. 27

4:24 p.m. — Manager of F.L. Roberts gas station requests officer remove a male from the property who was attempting to shoplift before getting into a verbal altercation with the manager. Officer Cody Wells found male party. Stolen property returned to store, male party left.

Montague, Oct. 28

8:18 p.m. — Caller at Turners Falls Pizza House on Avenue A would like it on record that a man has been violating his no-trespass order by coming onto the property and asking people for money approximately every 15 minutes. Caller states that man is not there at this time. Sgt. John Dempsey advised.

Greenfield, Oct. 29

8:47 a.m. — Hypodermic needle found on Main Street, near the Greenfield Fire Station.

12:51 p.m. — Andrew M. Schmidt, 28, of Greenfield, was arrested for vandalism, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.

2:17 p.m. — Illegal dumping reported at the Greenfield Housing Authority on Elm Terrace.

3:41 p.m. — Hit-and-run reported near the Registry of Motor Vehicles on Miner Street.

Greenfield, Oct. 30

8 a.m. — Vandalism reported at McCarthy Funeral Home on Bank Row.
