Greenfield, April 3

7 a.m. — A Main Street caller reports she is being harassed by cars driving by.

4:54 p.m. — Caller reports lost ATM card. Has not been turned in. Instructed to contact bank.

6:48 p.m. — Report of wallet lost on Federal Street. Black wallet with ID, debit and credit cards sometime yesterday, possibly while out on a walk. Instructed to call banks and credit card companies.

8:43 p.m. — Report of pedestrian walking on highway, southbound lane of Interstate 91, at mile-marker 49. Call transferred to Massachusetts State Police.

10:15 p.m. — Caller reports her house camera shows a woman was on their porch momentarily, then took off running toward Davis Street. May have had something in her mouth, unsure what.

Greenfield, April 4

12:10 a.m. — Report of unwanted person on Prospect Street. Caller states she is a site manager for involved building and received a call from staff, stating man is intoxicated and yelling at people. Reporting party attempted to call back and get more info, however nobody is answering the phone. Officers sent. Mediated.

4:42 p.m. — Caller reports losing $400 (two $100 bills and 10 $20 bills) while shopping at Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange.

4:53 p.m. — Report of intoxicated man with open containers at intersection of Maple and Federal streets.

Greenfield, April 5

12:40 a.m. — Two vehicles struck a bear on Route 2 and North Street. Call transferred to Shelburne Control.

2:30 a.m. — An Avenue A tenant had gotten sick all over her bathroom and is looking for someone to clean it up for her. Call transferred to Montague Police.

5:53 p.m. — Baystate Franklin Medical Center emergency room requesting officer assistance with out-of-control female patient, spitting at doctors and agitated. Woman has .40 blood-alcohol content as well as suspected additional health problems. Became belligerent and pulled off face mask after being restrained secondary to spitting on staff. Officers assisted to ensure staff safety.

6:15 p.m. — 911 caller reporting what appeared to be two juvenile females on the side of Interstate 91, near mile-marker 46, approaching Route 2 exit. Call transferred to State Police.

Greenfield, April 6

12:16 p.m. — Caller would like to speak to officer regarding people performing “doughnuts” in warehouse parking lot at 180 Silvio O. Conte Drive. Red Nissan 340Z or car similar to that. Has been a problem almost every weekend. Requesting premise checks. This happened at 2 p.m. on April 5 with a crowd watching.

1:05 p.m. — A Montague City Road caller reports excessively loud neighbors who are also threatening to give him the coronavirus.

2:59 p.m. — Caller reports an accident with no injuries at the Route 2 bypass.

4:43 p.m. — A Forbes Court caller reports while she was in the hospital the complex had a cleaning crew in her apartment and now she is missing jewelry.

Montague, April 6

8:17 a.m. — Caller states someone marked the Bridge of Names with offensive graffiti.

1:12 p.m. — A Canal Street caller states their dryer caught on fire. Pulled it out of the house, but it’s still burning. Fire Department responding.

Greenfield, April 7

11:48 a.m. — Multiple callers report fist fight between two men at 14 Main St. No weapons observed. Gone on arrival.

11:49 a.m. — Caller is reporting that while she was at work she received a call from her children reporting that there was an unmarked white van outside their Wells Street house. According to her children, someone in a mask knocked on the door and asked them to open the door. Caller is home now and would like to speak to an officer. Dispatch reports the Federal Emergency Management Agency is in the area driving white vans, but those vans are reported to be marked.

3:24 p.m. — Caller reports she believes someone is poisoning her food and water, even brand-new packs of cigarettes. Advised of options.

5:59 p.m. — Caller reports a red Nissan 350 came from Main Street direction, performed a “doughnut” in the intersection of Chapman and Arch streets and then continued up Chapman Street.

6:38 p.m. — Caller reports man in his 50s drinking from a bottle of vodka walking near the intersection of Mohawk Trail and River Street. Gone on arrival.

8:20 p.m. — Caller reports van struck a fire hydrant near the intersection of Maple Lane and Maple Street. Matthew M. Lewis, 41, of Maple Street in Greenfield, was arrested for OUI-liquor over .08, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Montague, April 7

11:19 a.m. — Caller across from Freedom Credit Union on Avenue A reporting road rage incident between two older men. Stated one man in a red truck was out of control and tried to hit the other man. While dispatching officers, reporting party stated the parties were pulling out to leave.

Greenfield, April 8

4:12 p.m. — Report of stolen vehicle at Forbes Court.

7:38 p.m. — Report of a kitchen fire in a Smith Street apartment.

Montague, April 8

9:47 a.m. — Greenfield Police Department took a report of erratic operation, began on Route 2 and just crossed the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge into Turners Falls. Silver Toyota, reportedly going 100 mph at one point. Officer Daniel Miner checked the area. Unable to locate.
