February Break Vacation Week: Sign up for a week of activities, games and outdoor fun for your child in kindergarten through sixth grade. This program takes place at 20 Sanderson St. from Tuesday, Feb. 18 to Friday, Feb. 21. Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with early and late care available. Includes walking field trips to Beacon Field for sledding, skating and fun in the snow. A lunch, afternoon snack and drink must be sent with each child. A morning snack is provided. Children must also bring appropriate winter clothing (boots, hats, gloves, etc). $120 for residents, $130 for non-residents. Additional fees for early and late care. The registration deadline has passed and a $25 late fee will be assessed.

Greenfield Recreation After School Program (GRASP): GRASP, at Federal Street School and the Discovery School at Four Corners, offers half-day care as well as regular after-school care. Students participate in special craft projects, outdoor fun and extra free choice programming on half days. Contact the Recreation Department to learn more or find the registration materials online.

Thank You, Volunteers: Many thanks to all those members of our community who volunteered to make the Winter Carnival a success. From road race marshals to the overnight ice sculpture watchers, face painters and game organizers, to chili servers and K-9 Keg Pull timers, this event couldn’t happen without such a dedicated community.

Thank You, Sponsors: Thank you to all of the Winter Carnival sponsors. Our sponsors help us out in a variety of ways, such as cash donations that go directly toward funding the Winter Carnival, gift donations that go to the raffle, ice sculpture sponsorships and donations of their resources, time and manpower.
