Greenfield Police Logs: June 2 to June 7, 2020

Greenfield, June 2

4:36 a.m. — A Park Street caller reports a man (who she helped out earlier in the day) arrived and was knocking at her door for 20 minutes. Caller states man eventually got access into her hallway, and made a mess of it. Caller advised involved man was intoxicated and was last seen headed into the woods. On foot checking in area of 40 Church St. Unable to locate.

8:14 a.m. — Caller at Post Office at 442 Main St. reports a subject was licking door knobs and mailboxes. Has since left on foot toward the common. Located and spoke with man, who identified himself and advised he was praying at the mailboxes before going downtown.

3:02 p.m. — Roughly 450 to 500 bags of heroin discovered in former tenant’s bedroom on Riverside Drive. Thousands of additional bags discovered in Pelican container.

9:38 p.m. — An Eliza Lane caller reports her boyfriend was just assaulted. Hit in the leg with a hammer. Caller declined EMS. Still in the woods.

10:40 p.m. — Caller states his daughter’s boyfriend was just stabbed in the back. Mutual disturbance and assault and battery between three parties from tents in close proximity. All three sustained minor injuries and were transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for treatment. All three to be summonsed for various offenses.

Greenfield, June 3

9:34 a.m. — Hit-and-run accident at the VA outpatient clinic on Munson Street.

10:30 a.m. — Caller states someone posing as her former boss sent her an email asking her to buy gift cards for her niece’s birthday due to her being sick. She did so and emailed her back the card numbers ($400). This was on May 19 and 22. She discovered yesterday it was not her former boss who had emailed her.

10:44 a.m. — Report of malicious destruction of property on Washington Street.

Greenfield, June 4

3:10 p.m. — Logging truck knocked over fire hydrant.

4:35 p.m. — A Hope Street caller reports she and her children are being followed by a group of people who are threatening her. Caller gave her name only before hanging up. Called back and spoke to caller, who reported she made it back to her apartment but would still like to speak to an officer as she feels unsafe.

Greenfield, June 5

4:23 a.m. — Overdose on Colrain Street. Male found unresponsive laying in driveway. Two Narcan given by bystanders prior to arrival of emergency personnel. CPR conducted. Taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

7:28 a.m. — An accident without injuries occurred at the intersection of Main and Miles streets. Tractor trailer unit took out fire hydrant.

Greenfield, June 6

12:34 p.m. — Report of malicious destruction to property on Wells Street. Two windshields smashed overnight. Caller just wanted this logged.

5 p.m. — Caller reports his bike was stolen from Smith Street.

7 p.m. — Caller reporting bicycle stolen from Washington Street pathway.

Greenfield, June 7

2:57 p.m. — Leah Ann Jenney, 22, of Turners Falls, was arrested on charges of OUI-liquor (with blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater), negligent operation of motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

3:11 p.m. — Report of a smashed windshield on Mayberry Court.

10:36 p.m. — Caller reports a fight in Energy Park; approximately 15 people involved. No weapons seen except one female grabbing a stick and making statements she would kill someone with it.
