Montague, Dec. 27

9:33 a.m. — Walk-in reporting an empty upright canoe in the water near Cabot Station. Turners Falls Fire Department talking with reporting party via intercom. Fire Department en route to check area of the Rock Dam.

Greenfield, Dec. 28

4:24 p.m. — Hypodermic needle found at intersection of Holly Avenue and Davis Street.

5:28 p.m. — Motor vehicle theft reported at Greenfield Country Estates on Adams Road.

Montague, Dec. 28

8:09 p.m. — Caller states he called earlier about an unattended dog in a motor vehicle outside an apartment building on Avenue A. Caller states the dog is still inside the vehicle and has not been tended to all day. Sgt. James Deery made contact with a man who advised he is staying in one of the apartments for the night and that the dog isn’t allowed in the building. Dog has food, water and a source of heat. Dog is checked on periodically.

11:39 p.m. — Report of someone ringing the caller’s doorbell on Seventh Street and then running off. Units checked the area, unable to locate anybody matching the description.

Greenfield, Dec. 29

12:35 p.m. — Lost property reported at Greenfield Public Library on Main Street.

4:16 p.m. — Illegal dumping reported at 34 Chapman St.

Montague, Dec. 29

1:57 p.m. — Message left in general mailbox reporting fraudulent transactions.

5:50 p.m. — Caller states two older women inside Third Street Laundry “jumped” his friend and assaulted him. The women are now sitting in a blue Toyota Camry. One of the involved women also called to say there were teenagers inside the laundromat being rude and threatening her and her friend. Sgt. Joshua Hoffman will attempt to view camera footage from the laundromat to better understand what transpired.

Greenfield, Dec. 30

7:54 a.m. — Illegal dumping reported at Andy’s and The Oak Shoppe on Deerfield Street.

10:48 a.m. — Motor vehicle theft reported at The Elizabeth House on Congress Street.

2:53 p.m. — Breaking-and-entering into a motor vehicle reported on Spring Terrace.

Montague, Dec. 30

2:42 p.m. — Unity Street caller says several youths were in the area of his residence yesterday, and one of them came onto the lawn and destroyed a “BLM” sign. Youths ran off after caller attempted to confront them. Caller advised this will be logged and to call when in progress should it happen again.

Greenfield, Dec. 31

4:25 p.m. — Breaking-and-entering into a motor vehicle reported on Briar Way.

10:09 p.m. — Fireworks reported at Oak Court.

10:35 p.m. — Fireworks reported at Aster Court.

Montague, Dec. 31

9:13 a.m. — Caller states someone broke into the annex building on Power Street and did some damage inside.

Greenfield, Jan. 2

2:33 p.m. — Accident reported at Sandri Convenience Store on Federal Street.

7:30 p.m. — Past breaking-and-entering reported on Oakland Street.

Montague, Jan. 3

4:16 p.m. — A Turners Falls Road caller reports multiple ATV riders tore up her yard. Posted as “No Trespassing.” Officer James Ruddock spoke with caller. While responding to another call, Chief Christopher Williams observed the owners of the ATVs in their driveway. Williams attempting to make contact with them to advise them of possible charges. Caller called back to say the ATVs are on her property riding. ATVs fleeing into the woods. Officer Ruddock made contact with the owner of the ATVs. Advised of damages as well as possible charges if it continues. Officer Ruddock following up with reporting party. Another caller stating the ATV riders questioned earlier also did damage to his property and he would like it taken care of by the ATV owners. Ruddock advised.

Greenfield, Jan. 4

11:53 a.m. — Malicious destruction reported at Clinical & Support Options on Arch Place.

11:58 a.m. — Motor vehicle theft reported at Hampton Inn and Suites on Shelburne Road.

Greenfield, Jan. 5

7:40 a.m. — Malicious destruction reported on Standish Court.

Montague, Jan. 5

3:51 p.m. — Manager of Judd Wire on Turnpike Road has concerns about ongoing harassment and vague threats coming from a former employee. Harassment order and civil process trespass order options discussed, as well as 911 options concerning employees off-premise. Manager complaint concerning incident with former employee on record.

4:56 p.m. — Carnegie Library employee advising someone stole a bag of DVDs from a bag behind the library that was scheduled for someone to pick up. Caller would like it on record. Caller called back and stated that another staff member saw a short male, possibly around 10 years old and wearing a blue hoodie, hanging around the library earlier.

Greenfield, Jan. 6

4:23 p.m. — Past assault and/or battery reported on Riverside Drive.

7:31 p.m. — Breaking-and-entering reported at Buckley HealthCare Center on Laurel Street.

Greenfield, Jan. 7

3:10 p.m. — Shoplifting reported at Dollar General on Colrain Road.
