GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Business Association will hold its annual meeting at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 29, from 5 to 6 p.m.

“Typically, our annual meetings allow for a reflection of the past year, elections of board members and sharing of plans for the coming year,” reads a press release from Rachel Roberts, coordinator of the Greenfield Business Association. “While all of that will happen at this meeting, it will also be an opportunity to reconnect as a business community after over 15 months of COVID. As such, we are opening the meeting to all businesses and individuals interested in attending.”

Member businesses will have the opportunity to pay their dues at the meeting, or new businesses can become members, the release states. Membership is not a requirement to attend, but is required to vote during the business association’s elections.

Board President Mik Muller will provide a brief welcome, followed by the election of board members. Any Greenfield Business Association member in good standing can be nominated at that time, the release states. Election results will be tallied after the meeting and announced later.

“We are thrilled to announce that Mayor Roxann Wedegartner will be our guest speaker for the evening,” Roberts’ release continues. “The mayor will share the city of Greenfield’s business recovery plans. We believe this is one of the most important topics confronting local businesses at this time.”

To end the meeting, Greenfield Business Association Vice President Kriste Joy will talk about some of the projects the association is working on during fiscal year 2022, including a grant opportunity in partnership with Greenfield Savings Bank and an advertising video series for Greenfield businesses called #DiscoverGreenfield.
