GREENFIELD — Franklin County’s YMCA is launching a five-year strategic planning process and is seeking input through a community survey.

The survey, which takes less than 10 minutes to complete, can be accessed at your-y.org, by scanning the attached QR code or by stopping by to complete the survey in person at the YMCA, located at 451 Main St. The survey is available through midnight on Friday, Jan. 28, and participants have a chance to win one of five $100 gift certificates to local restaurants.

Through the planning process, CEO Grady Vigneau, board of directors President Phelicia Howland and members of the Strategic Planning Committee look to further the Y’s mission in the numerous communities it serves.

“This survey will help our committee recognize and determine what our community envisions for the future of our YMCA,” Vigneau explained in a YMCA press release. “Now is your chance to tell us where you want to see your Y in the coming years and how to focus our impacts in the short and long term.”

According to the release, the Strategic Planning Committee is also holding one-on-one interviews with stakeholders and community leaders to gather additional input on the needs for Franklin County and how the YMCA could contribute in the next five years.

“We will continue to provide opportunities for our members of all ages to develop character and leadership, to grow in mind, body and spirit through program participation and service, and to improve the quality of life in Franklin County,” Vigneau added.
