Franklin County’s YMCA is offering three free programs for anyone in the community.

With questions regarding any of the following programs, contact Jayne Trosin at jtrosin@your-y.org.

Moving for Better Balance: A balance improvement program that uses a variety of movements and techniques designed to train balance and movement control for daily life activities. The program consists of eight core movement forms and movement drills that progress throughout the series of classes. Offered both in-person at the Y or remotely. Meets Wednesdays and Fridays at noon starting June 21.

Enhance Fitness: An exercise program designed to decrease falls and improve daily activity. Incorporates low-impact cardio moves, weights and stretching. Work on flexibility, balance, strength training and aerobics while helping with arthritis. New class meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon.

Walk with Ease: This evidence-based program is proven to help people with arthritis or other related conditions reduce pain; increase balance, strength and walking pace; and improve overall health. Learn the relationship between arthritis, exercise and pain; develop and implement a personal walking plan with realistic goals; and get tips, strategies and resources for maintaining a long-term exercise routine. Meets at the Y’s Main Street entrance on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m.
