BERNARDSTON — The Four Leaf Clover Restaurant’s doors may be closed, but devoted patrons shouldn’t fret — the restaurant will reopen with a facelift on Wednesday.

According to Mark Snow, who with his wife, Linda, has owned the restaurant at 19 South St. for 20 years, the business closed for renovations on Jan. 22. Renovations include new ceilings and paint, as well as freshly stained and Polyurethane-coated wooden walls and shelves in the stock room.

“It’s gonna be all brand new floor coming into the restaurant,” Snow continued. “Pretty much everything and all the ceilings are newly painted.”

Snow estimated the renovations to cost between $15,000 and $20,000, and said that while the restaurant closes sporadically for minor fixes, extensive renovations haven’t been done in about three years.

“Everything that we did this time, we couldn’t do while we were open,” he explained. “It was time … It’s lots of work in two-and-a-half weeks.”

Snow said the restaurant will resume business as usual on Wednesday, opening at 5 a.m. prepared to serve breakfast.
