ERVING — After its driver navigated off the roadway, a Honda CRV struck a tree and flipped upside down near 140 Northfield Road on Friday.

The crash was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. According to Fire Chief Philip Wonkka, the female driver was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center by Northfield EMS with minor injuries. There were no passengers in the vehicle, which was registered in New Hampshire.

“The initial reports said the patient was entrapped,” Wonkka said. “We managed to get the patient out with minimal effort.”

The Erving Fire Department, Northfield EMS, the Erving Police Department and Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash. The Honda CRV was towed.
