ORANGE — The 10-episode Stephen King-inspired Hulu series, “Castle Rock,” will premiere on Wednesday, July 25.

The final “official” spooky trailer has been released with recognizable landmarks, including the Universalist Church on North Main Street, the Millers River, where a woman jumps off a bridge into the water and aerial shots of downtown.

Residents only have to wait two more weeks to finally see their town transformed into King’s fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine. The fictional town is featured in multiple books by King, including “Cujo,” “The Dead Zone,” “The Dark Half” and other novels, novellas and short stories.

The “Castle Rock” crew started visiting Orange back in August 2017 to film the series. Filming also took place at New England Studios in Devens. Hulu employees worked closely with the local government to arrange dates and times for the cast and crew to use roadways for their work. The crew finished filming in January, but captured some drone footage of Orange in late April.

The cast of the series includes Melanie Lynskey, best known for playing Rose on “Two and a Half Men;” Andre Holland from the film “Moonlight;” Sissy Spacek, famous for her role in the 1976 film adaptation of King’s novel, “Carrie;” Jane Levy from the ABC comedy series “Suburgatory;” and Bill Skarsgard, who played Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the 2017 film “It.”

The “Castle Rock” production team has donated twice to Orange in 2018: $10,000 for beautification of the town’s cemeteries and $3,500 for the Orange Fire Department.

In the final trailer, multiple eerie moments can be seen, including a car flying off a cliff, individuals hosting a cultish meeting in what appears to be an abandoned house, and interrogations of the prisoner played by Skarsgard.

To close out the trailer, Skarsgard’s character speaks to Henry Deaver, an attorney who returns to Castle Rock to investigate Skarsgard’s appearance in the prison, played by Holland.

“Do you hear it now? You have no idea what is happening here, do you?” says Skarsgard, while music fades to the end.
