SHELBURNE — A collection of photographs by Rhode Island architect and artist Greg Spiess celebrating carnivals is now on display at the Little Big House Gallery.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the gallery, located at 323 Patten Road.

Spiess photographs the light and atmosphere of carnivals. His eye for and interest in documenting the little details stems from his career as an architect.
