Business Briefs: Aug. 12, 2022

GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Business Association (GBA) is inviting businesses to participate in a Sept. 13 business showcase.

“This is a great way to meet one on one, make new contacts and build new business relationships,” a GBA newsletter states.

Businesses must bring their own table (up to 6 feet long), materials to showcase their business and free samples of their products to share. Tents (up to 10 feet by 10 feet) are suggested for outside exhibitors. The business association does not supply tents. Pop-up banners, table drapes, posters, flyers and free swag items are welcome.

According to the newsletter, GBA member businesses can table for free. The cost is $25 for non-members.

Space is limited, and is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Table location is determined by the order the applications are received.

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Savings Bank recently announced six promotions and new hires.

■Sherie Lewis of Dummerston, Vermont was hired as vice president and operations officer. In her new role, Lewis oversees the deposit and loan operations teams. She joins Greenfield Savings Bank with more than 20 years of banking experience.

■Greenfield resident Mpress Nembhard has joined Greenfield Savings Bank as a CRA analyst and community outreach officer. She assists the vice president of compliance/CRA officer in creating and updating financial aid outreach presentations.

■Lisa McKenna of Montague was named assistant vice president and Conway branch manager. McKenna has worked at Greenfield Savings Bank for more than 30 years, first starting as a teller in 1988 at the main office in Greenfield and later working in the Customer Service Department. She was most recently assistant vice president and branch manager for South Deerfield and Conway before shifting exclusively to Conway’s branch manager.

■In her new position as Greenfield Savings Bank’s South Deerfield branch manager, Greenfield resident Kimberly Zabek oversees the branch’s daily responsibilities, focusing on local business development. She has been in banking for more than 25 years and with Greenfield Savings Bank for more than 10 years, most recently serving as assistant branch manager in Hadley.

■Chicopee resident Josh Mozeleski has been named an investment officer and Infinex investment executive. He will offer access to insurance and investment products through Infinex Investments. Mozeleski joins Greenfield Savings Bank as an investment executive with more than nine years in the banking industry.

■Jocelyn Alvord of Florence was promoted to manager at the Shelburne Falls branch. She has been with Greenfield Savings Bank since 2015, starting as a teller in Hadley. She was promoted to assistant manager in the Hadley branch before moving back to Shelburne Falls, where she has been serving as assistant branch manager.

Ninety Nine Restaurants raising money for Jimmy Fund

GREENFIELD — All Ninety Nine Restaurants across New England and upstate New York are participating in the annual Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund fundraiser through Sunday, Aug. 21. All money raised goes directly to the Jimmy Fund, supporting pediatric and adult patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

A Greenfield branch is located at 17 Colrain Road.

According to a Ninety Nine press release, guests can donate in the following ways:

■Customers who dine in will receive a $5 off $25 coupon for every $5 donation. (Coupon expires Sept. 4.)

■Customers who order online at 99restaurants.com and make at least a $5 donation will immediately receive $5 off the online to-go order through Aug. 21.

This is the 17th year the fundraiser has taken place, and Ninety Nine has raised more than $5.8 million to date for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
