Bob Zaikowski made it a four-pack on Sunday

Zaikowski recorded his fourth career hole-in-one, accomplishing the feat at Northfield Golf Club. He aced the par 3 seventh hole, using a 3-wood. It was witnessed by Ron Aleman.

Ashfield scramble

Ashfield Community Golf Club held its 14th annual two-person scramble on Saturday, with Norma Bell and Bill LaBelle placing first with a score of 68. 

Dave Corliss and Jon Sontag took second (69) while Bev LaBelle and Tony Warchol came in third (70). Artie Pantermehl and Katie Benedetti won longest drive on No. 4, Sontag won closest to the pin on No. 5 while Bill LaBelle won closest to the pin on No. 9. In the marshmallow drive Sontag and Norma LaBelle were the winners. 

CCG par 3

The Country Club of Greenfield held its Par 3 championship over the weekend, with Clint McCloud winning the Pebble Beach Flight with a gross score of 54. 

Other winners were Roy Emerson in the Shinnecock Flight (56), Anthony Wonseski in the Oakmont Flight (59), Jeff Collura and John Cormican in the Torrey Pines Flight (62), Peter Jenkins in the East Lake Flight (61), Doug Muehlberg in the Pine Valley Flight (63), Terry Boyce in the Riviera Flight (54), Ann McHugh and Barb Killeen in the Colonial Flight (65) and Sue Sigda in the Muirfield Flight (75).

Feed the Family

The fifth annual Feed the Family Golf Tournament at Thomas Memorial took place over the weekend, with Team Holmes, which consisted of Jake Sisson, Marshall Sisson, Al Holmes and Jean LaCoy, taking first with a score of 60. 

Don Mailloux, Bill Betsold, Darren Lenois and John Demko took second (62). In closest to the pin Joe Adams won on No. 7 (four feet, four inches), Tom Noel won on No. 9 (7-1), Chet Czernich took it on No. 16 (8-3) while Bob Bourbeau won it on No. 18 (18-3). Teams Mailloux, Holmes, Worden and Czernich (2) won skins. $5,200 was raised toward providing turkey baskets for families.  

Youth football

F.C. Bulldogs

Gavin Keene ran for 58 yards and a pair of scored while Brock Puchalski had 67 yards rushing and a touchdown in the Franklin County Bulldogs’ 29-7 win over Ludlow in a PeeWee contest on Sunday. 

Ben Keeler ran for a 29 yards and a touchdown while Sean Winslow ran for 18 yards and connected with Collin Winslow for a pair of two-point tries. Puchalski had five tackles, Kaydin Snow-Rose had four tackles while Anthony Ruggeri had a sack in the win. 

■ The Frontier PeeWee football team earned a 21-12 win over Easthampton on Saturday behind touchdowns from Tyson Serpone, Jack Carney and Johnny Stanisewski. 

The Redhawk seniors fell to Easthampton on Sunday, 14-13. Carter Schloat threw a touchdown pass to Riggins Kopcza while Kopcza added a touchdown on the ground in the loss. 

Adult football

Greenfield Touch League

The 36th season of the Greenfield Touch Football League kicked off on Sunday, with Pat Viencek throwing touchdowns to Jalen Sanders and Adam Bastarache in Gill Wood Working’s 13-6 win over Sirum. Parker Hickey threw a touchdown to Jaden Whiting in the loss. 

Elsewhere, Namaste Rockets and Amherst Office Park tied, 6-6, with Jordan Markham finding Lew Borden for Namaste’s touchdown while Mak Rodgers connected with Josh Hanson for Amherst’s score. 

In the third game of the day, the Blitzing Bears beat Team Cerious, 14-0 behind a pick-six from Gio Ortiz and a touchdown pass from Ortiz to Damian Vennell. 

In the final game of the day Brian Drew scored a touchdown to lift Team Touch to a 6-0 win over Namaste Pink Panther. 

Baseball

 Jackson Glazier knocked two doubles and an RBI, Michael Pierce and Braeden Tsipenyuk each had a double and two RBIs while Ethan Quinn doubled and brought in a run in Nuke City’s 9-1 win over Ware at Pioneer on Saturday. 

Hugh Cyhowski added a hit and two RBIs for Nuke City. Ben Werner got the win on the mound while Jack Glazier and Cyhowski also pitched.
