Stephanie Scoville’s play on the softball diamond at Westfield State has earned her recognition.

Scoville — a Pioneer graduate — was named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference’s All-Conference second team on Wednesday. The junior led the Owl rotation this year, finishing with a 13-6 record in the circle, added two saves and had an ERA of 3.04. She had 92 strikeouts to just 24 walks. In MASCAC play she was second in wins, fourth in strikeouts and fifth in ERA.

Scoville’s pitching was a big reason why Westfield state reached the semifinals of the MASCAC tournament, as she pitched 20 innings during the postseason and allowed just four runs.
