The Petersham Curling Club is holding its annual Golf and Curl Biathlon Tournament on Oct. 14. 

The tournament is a one day biathlon that combines a round of golf with a single curling match. People are allowed to register as full teams, partial teams and as individual participants. 

The cost is $400 per team and $100 per individual. For more information visit petershamcurling.org

Knights of Columbus League

The Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial wrapped up its season with its League Championship Tournament and a 3-Club Tournament on Wednesday, with Charlie Peters winning the league championship with a score of plus-3. 

Joey Niedbala took second (plus-2) while Mike Lorden came in third (plus-1). Bill Roussel and Scott Waldron tied for first in the 3-Club Tournament (plus-2). 

In closest to the pin Rod Herzig won on No. 7 (13 feet, 11 inches) while Ken Kuninski won it on No. 9 (17-9). Waldron won skins on No. 3 while Herzig won it on No. 7. 

CCG results

Terry Boyce took first with a score of 54 in a Best 14 Holes contest in the 18 Hole Women’s League at the Country Club of Greenfield on Tuesday. 

Tina Brown placed second (63) while Robin Hartnett (47) and Ann McHugh (49) carded the low net scores. In Flight Two Dianne Wood (75) and Irene McDonald (84) shot the low gross  scores while Sally Bernard (56) and Lane Kelly (61) had the low net scores.
