Bulletin Board: Greenfield Post 81 stays hot, blanks Aldenville 7-0

Add another tally to the win column for the Greenfield Post 81 Senior American Legion baseball team.
On the road at Aldenville Post 337 Tuesday, Greenfield scored two runs in the second inning, one in the fifth, one in the sixth and three in the seventh to run away with a 7-0 victory in Chicopee.
The win was the fifth in a row for Post 81 (5-2).
Ian Simpson tossed the opening 4⅓ innings, striking out four and scattering three hits. Sam Connors went the rest of the way, striking out one and scattering one hit without surrendering a walk.
Logan Moore singled, doubled and drove in two runs while Daniel Brussard singled, tripled and drove in a run for Greenfield. Hugh Cyhowski knocked three hits, Shane Brussard tallied two hits and an RBI while Jackson Campbell, Braeden Tsipenyuk and Ethan Mauthe hit safely in the win.
DRIVE League
Matt Petro scored 20 points while Parker Hickey added 17 points in Markol Strong’s 81-80 win over Smooth Operators in a men’s league contest in the DRIVE League at Greenfield High School Monday.
Gehrig Brynda put up 29 points while Jacob Cancel tossed in 13 points in the loss.

The final game of the night saw Jalen Sanders score 33 points and Garrett Cote add 17 points as Crossover Crew beat Bruso Computer Solutions, 86-59. Matt Cahillane had 29 points while Jermey Thomas scored 12 points in the loss.
In boys JV action at Stoneleigh Burnham on Monday, Chase Canon-Smith’s 10 points lifted Easthampton past Athol, 56-20. Ben White led the Bears with seven points.
The second JV game on Monday saw Jack Riley scored 11 points in Smith Vocational’s 55-32 win over Orange. Hunter Brooks scored eight points in the loss.
To close things out, Noah Moore had 17 points while Logan Waite added 14 points in Brattleboro’s 70-25 win over Greenfield. Anthony Bergstrom led the Wave with six points.
CCG women’s league
Diane Carme (34) and Sherry Chaffee (41) had the low scores in the Patty Berg Flight in a Best 8 Holes contest in the Nine Hole Women’s League at Country Club of Greenfield Tuesday.
Other top scorers per flight: Judy Strong (38), Ann McHugh (38) and Sarah Cook (38) in the Nancy Lopez Flight, Kathy Nicoll (42), Charlene LaChance (43) and Laura Coburn (43) in the JoAnne Carner Flight, Elaine Mount (43) and Emily Jarvis (46) in the Lorena Ochoa Flight, Ann Lyman (45) and Sally Bernard (47) in the Annika Sorenstam Flight and Kasey Herbert (46), Carole Akey (51) and Bobbee Low (51) in the Michelle Wie Flight.
In a One Best Ball Net contest in the 18 Hole Women’s League at CCG on Tuesday, Nancy Robie, Nancy Donoghue and Lane Kelly shot the low score of 54. Terry Boyce, Irene Woods and Sally Bernard came in second (57).
