Northfield Golf Club held its club championship over the weekend, and Garrett Hasanbasic was crowned the champion on the men’s side after shooting rounds of 74 and 71 for a two-round total of 145. 

Doug Field posted the low net score of 132, with rounds of 67 and 65. 

Rachel Snow won the women’s club championship, shooting two rounds of 90 for a two-round total of 180.

Deb Putnam had the low net of 138 with rounds of 72 and 66. 

Tennis

Beacon Clay Court Classic

Steve Pedigree defeated Brian Campbell (6-3, 6-2) in a semifinal match over the weekend to reach the finals of the Beacon Clay Court Classic in Greenfield.

Pedigree will take on Lexi Silk, who beat Petru Cojocaru (3-6, 6-1, 6-3) in the semifinals. The championship was postponed Monday due to rain, and the rescheduled date was not available at press time.

Bombers 7, Menace 2 – Mia Shaw tossed a complete game with 11 strikeouts to guide the Bombers to a Franklin County Summer Softball League win on Monday in Greenfield.

Shaw also doubled as part of a two-hit outing.

Raine Wonsey struck out seven in the circle for Menace, while Charlie Vera Fellows singled and walked.
