Bulletin Board: Forbes Byron sinks ace at CCG

Greenfield’s Forbes Byron sank his second career hole-in-one on Friday, doing so at the Country Club of Greenfield. 

The shot came from 152 yards out on Hole No. 15, with Byron using a 9 wood. Rich Peel, Rocky Barbuto and Dick Tozloski were witness to the ace. 

Greenfield Elks

Bill Erman and Paul Viens (26 points) were the top scorers in the Greenfield Elks League at CCG this past week, followed by Sharon Rawson and Jonathan Moore (22.5) and the pairs of Greg Call and Bob Zaikowski and Stan Maynard and John Cariddi (22). 

Erman won closest to the pin on No. 2 (two feet, one inch) and No. 5 (10-5).

Reaghan Bernard, Charley Deane and Tiana Valdez each knocked four hits in Gilmore and Farrell’s 5-0 win over Freedon Credit Union on Thursday. 

Kamryn Beck had four hits while Sophia Stacey knocked three hits for Freedom Credit Union.

Jackson Puchalski and Fred Burnap each had a hit while Brayden Parody and Christian Powell pitched in Rotary Club’s 7-4 win over Smitty’s Pub on Friday in a GMLB AAA contest. 

PJ Brodeur had two hits and pitched while Adrian Lopez knocked a hit for Smitty’s.

Also on Friday Bobby C’s DJ Service picked up a 15-10 win over Aubuchon Hardware behind pitching from Elias Tripp and Elias Skinder. 

Michael Dixon and Corbin Pease homered while Zuri Wing tripled for Aubuchon. 

Later on Friday Owen Castine tripled, JJ Bones struck out nine, homered and doubled while Quinn Gibbons singled in Lundgren Honda’s 11-10 win over Pioneer Valley Tire in a AAA contest. 

Jackson Baker tripled and knocked two singles, Xavier Woodard had two hits and Ben Woodard hit safely in the loss. 

On Thursday, Osiah Ballard knocked a pair of hits and RBIs, Conner Bergeron had a two-run homer and pitched while Jose Colon-Martinez pitched in Maniatty’s 9-6 win over Gilmore and Farrell. 

Asa Bouchard struck out four while Carter Malouin had a hit and an RBI for Gilmore and Farrell.
