Bulletin Board: CCG wins opening match of Mass Golf Women’s Fall Cup

The Country Club of Greenfield competed in the opening round of the Mass Golf Women’s Fall Cup on Thursday, with CCG earning a 34-20 win over The Ledges Golf Club.

Elaine Goodhind and Valerie Esquer scored 11.5 points, Tina Browne and Elizabeth Archer finished with 10 points while TC Emerson and Corrine Sysun recorded 12.5 points for CCG. 

Timmons-Messer League

Brian Deane and Ronnie Parker shot the low gross of 34, followed by Sunny Lucas and Curt White with a 35, in the Timmons-Messer League at Northfield Golf Club on Wednesday. 

Rob Schrader and Pete Mallet shot the low net of 25. Brian Cocco and Steve Helgerson took second (26). Jack Letourneau won closest to the pin on No. 6 while Mallet sank a hole-in-one on No. 7. Deane was the match medalist with a 35. 

K of C League

Chris Ray and Chris Jarvis tied for the most points (8) in the Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial on Wednesday. 

Dave Dion won closest to the pin on No. 7 (six feet) while John O’Riley won it on No. 9 (14-0). Bob Bourbeau won skins won No. 3 and 8 while also shooting the low gross of 35. Ron Lenois finished as the second half winner in the league.
