Bulletin Board: CCG hosting its Youth Golf Camp in June

The Country Club of Greenfield is hosting its Youth Golf Camp June 26-29 from 9 a.m.-noon each day. 

The camp will be capped at 25 kids, done on a first come, first serve basis. The cost is $170 for the first family member and $140 for each additional family member. The camp will be run by CCG’s PGA Golf Professional Kevin Piecuch, who brings 30 years of teaching experience with him, and CCG’s assistant pro/Greenfield High School coach Josh Cook.

Youth softball

Tri-County League

Ryleigh Goodwin racked up two strikeouts and added two doubles and an RBI at the plate to lead the Northfield Cougars to a 20-7 win over Vernon Red on Wednesday.

Maggie Tsipenyuk had two hits, Janessa Sadler had a pair of hits and RBIs while Brooklyn Batty had two RBIs in the win.

Vernon’s Hannah Squires struck out two and Bria Unruh had two hits.

Post 81 tryouts

The Post 81 American Legion baseball team, which features both a senior and junior squad, will be holding registration and tryouts on May 6, 7 and 13, all taking place at 1 p.m. at Vets Field in Greenfield.

The senior team is for those who are 19 and under by Dec. 31, 2023 while the juniors must be 17 and under by Dec. 31, 2023. Players from all Franklin County schools are eligible to try out, and those from previous Post 81 teams must still try out to be eligible. Players are asked to bring a glove, cleats and their original birth certificate.

Top Notch Camp

Top Notch Summer Camp Series is holding its camp this June and July at Frontier. 

The all-girls basketball camp will run from June 26-30. Top Notch will also host two all sports camps, the first running from July 17-21 and the second from July 24-28.
